2018 Report
History How To Help History

Dear Friend of the Ukrainian Diabetes Project,

Many of you received our 25th anniversary brochure in our last mailing. That mailing was shortly followed by the horrific fires that consumed Santa Rosa/Sonoma County. This disaster hit home for the UDP as one of our board members lost her home in the fire. In addition, we cannot confirm that all of our Fall 2017 mailings made it to you. For that reason, I will briefly recap its content.

The brochure highlighted, with photos then and now, four of the children we served since the UDP started in 1992. Their stories were heartwarming, showing so much appreciate for the help they received from us, thanks to you. Photos of their family members were included along with their spouses, children, parents and other family members. They went on to put into practice all they learned during their days with us receiving education and high quality diabetes supplies.

In addition, we highlighted that we have served 6246 children over these 25 years, providing $2.7 million of diabetes supplies and countless hours of education. Nine regions in Ukraine received help from our project.

We remain working with our affiliates, the Diabetes Charity Fund of Kyiv and the Kherson Diabetes Organization and continue to be proud to be associated with both groups for their steadfast efforts on behalf of the Ukrainian diabetic children.

Our goals are to continue to serve these less fortunate children in Ukraine with diabetes supplies and support our partnership efforts in providing them with educational classes.

We thank you in advance if you have already sent your contribution for this year. If not, for your convenience we have enclosed an envelope. As always, we will send a final report of our activities at the end of the year. UDP and the families in Ukraine truly appreciate your kind and giving support.
