Labels

Linda Schroeter, a graphic artist who works with local Sonoma County wineries, designed this label. I took her backgrounds and layout into Photoshop and created the background and foil layers. The labels were printed using a 4-color printing press and then the labels were stamped with a foil dye made from the negative of the foil layer.

My company had me design these mock beer labels in Illustrator to attract breweries. Clip art of the animals was used for the focal point and the print and embellishments were added. The entire process to the output of film was my responsibility.

Sales Sheets

We developed sales sheets for each of this company's products. I loved this job because I collaborated directly with a graphic designer from MicroVu to create all their pieces. She supplied the photos, copy and rough layouts and I finished the project by photocorrecting the photos in Photoshop and creating the design and finished layout.

Brochures

I considered myself fortunate to do brochures for some of our local wineries because there is stiff competition for this work. The St. Francis brochure became quite complicated because we used spot varnish to highlight the photos while leaving the background a matte. This involved creating several masks in QuarkXpress. Illustrator was used to make a detailed map of the bay area. I did all the design and production work for both brochures.

Catalog

This is the MicroVu catalog. I designed two versions of the catalog over the years. I enjoyed working with this company because of the high standards they had for their print work.
