Wounded Knee 1890
December 29, 1890 was a black day in America's history. On that day U.S. troops opened fire on a group of 300 Native Americans living inside Wounded Knee. This marked the end of an era of forced reform for the Native Americans, although it could truly be called the end of their attempts to fight back.
