Heavenly Tethers

The following are some of the well-known Heavenly Tethers in New Orleans. This list is not yet complete. Unless otherwise noted, these tethers are known to celestials on both sides in the city.

The St. Louis Cathedral
A large tether to The Sword. Usually, most the interior of the building serves as the Tether. This is one of Lawrence's major tethers in the American Southeast. The Seneschal is Lamalamaniel, an Elohite Friend of the Lord's Troops, the Angel of St. Louis Cathedral. He has the role of Father Moses Johnson.(Google Map.)

The Monroe Library at Loyola University
Only a few rows of stacks on the third floor of this library (centered around the "LB" section) is the locus of this Tether. This is a very small Tether to Destiny. Its seneschal is Mulidispiel, a Kyriotate of Destiny.(Google Map.)

Rickie's
A jazz club on Bourbon St. between St. Peter St. and Toulouse St. This club has been around since the early 20th century, and was one of the places that many of the early greats of Jazz performed. Today, it's a vibrant location where unknown but very talented jazz bands and musicians can be heard from 11AM until the wee hours of the night. It's a moderately strong tether to Creation, and has been since the 1920's, caught up with the development and maturation of Jazz. The Seneschal is Joyherunai, a Seraph of Creation. She has the Role of Joy Herun, an elderly woman who is a waitress at the club, and has been there longer than any of the other staff. This tether is located mere blocks from the tether to the Sword at St. Louis Cathedral. Because of the history of New Orleans, servitors of Creation and the Sword get along better here than they do typically. Father Johnson and Joy Herun are friends, and converse regularly.(Google Map)

Infernal Tethers

The following are the well-known Infernal Tethers in New Orleands.

The Hammond Highway Bridge at the 17th St. Canal
This teather to Saminga is the youngest stable tether in New Orleans. It was formed in August, 2005 when the 17th St. Canal levee broke during Hurricane Katrina. Nobody is quite sure why this levee break in particular lead to the formation of a tether— or, if anybody is sure, they're not telling. Saminga danced gleefully through New Orleans in the early days of Katrina, before he got bored and the servitors of Theft moved into cause as much ruckus as possible— with servitors of Wind trying to mitigate the damage caused by Theft. While there was a temporary tether to Wind inside Katrina itself, and while there were numerous minor tethers to Theft throughout New Orleans during the aftermath, they were all temporary tethers that have since dissapated. This tether to Death is the one that remained. The locus of the thether is along the shore of the canal south of the Hammond Highway Bridge. (Google Map)

Laurenda's Brothel
A mansion in an upscale residential area not far from the intersection of Canal St. and Alexander St., this is in fact a discreet high-end brothel with a client list that includes many of the rich and famous. It is also a tether to Andrealphus. The Seneschal is Monica, a Lilim of Lust.
