Summer NAMM was hot — the John Jorgenson quintet sizzled!
Detailed wrapup and pictures to come within the next few days. Check back please.
Winter NAMM 2009 in Anaheim, Jan. 15 — 18, was another blockbuster. Our dear friend Raul Reynoso, who has been at the booth with us for several years, was out on tour and had to miss this one. We missed him, too, and hope he will be back with us for future shows. Michael Phelan joined us again, bringing his musical expertise and warm personality. Additionally the booth was staffed by our trusty sales manager Gary Mobley, who was busy with meetings all four days, my partner Dave Coontz, my assistant Kelly Jordan, and occasionally me ...that is, when I was not on duty playing banjo with Saga's bluegrass band.
Andy McKee played a great set at the booth
The booth was especially lively when we featured performances by Andy McKee (Fri), Roger Espinoza (Sat), and Luis Villegas (Sun). Thanks to these extremely talented guitarists for being part of our family.
The highlight of the show is always our Friday night event, and this year was no exception. Again we were proud to present the incredible John Jorgenson and his quintet in an evening of sizzling hot jazz in the Django Reinhardt tradition. John always has a surprise or two in store, and this time featured a couple of new, original numbers on bouzouki.
Pictures and more details of Winter NAMM 2009 coming soon. Watch this space.
