blank JOURNAL day 2 (at sea)

Sunrise We woke to a beautiful sunrise. Having lived on the west coast most of our lives this was the first time we've seen a sunrise over the ocean. The Inspiration dining room was sparcy populated for breakfast. Breakfast is awful early plus we had to turn the clocks forward an hour last night. Some breakfast selections were eggs benedict, ham & cheese omlette, pancakes, and eggs with bacon. Even though there were a few clouds it looked like it was going to be a warm one today. Amy slideAndrew in pool Most of the sunny lounge chairs were already marked, so we took a few in the shade but soon enough they weren't. Many of the loungers were manuevering to catch the rays. I was happy to have my $10.50 bucket of budweiser and watch my kids in the pool. The sun turned back to shade so I wandered the ship back to the room to get ready for our first formal night. Dinner selections included grilled stuffed quail, Wes' Family veal parmesean, penne pasta with scallops and lobster, some king of eggplant, and filet mignon. With seven at our table I got a chance to try just about everything . My favorites tonight were the veal and the filet. The show in the Mikado was called,"Rhythm". Many of the songs were written by the songwriters referrenced by the ship (Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, etc..). The loudest ovation was for a trio "River Dancing". Costume and scene changes were too many to count in this high energy review. Russ & FamilyThe dancers made several trips into the audience, each time handing out trinkets associated with that song. After the show the kids stopped by Tiffany's for an ice cream. On the way back we checked out the Romeo & Juliet lounge for a couple of dances before retiring to the room.
