blank JOURNAL day 3 (at sea)

Cabo Shore We had no intention of getting up in time for the main breakfast so we ate at the pool side buffet then spent most of the morning in or around the pool, the water being a bit warmer. By lunchtime we made our way out of the warm sun and into Tiffany's for pizza. We came close to Mexican shore and the captain pointed out Cabo, saying in a couple of days we'll be in port there. At that point we had no idea that where we were was as close as we we're going to get to Cabo San Lucas. At 4:00pm we took a tour of the galley. I knew this was going to be a popular tour as the meeting place was the Mikado lounge. The best place to be if you don't want to be waiting in line is on the lower level near the back doors. We, on the other hand, had seats right up front so when the guide started the tour we were one of the last in line. Even with the wait the tour is worth the time.

Some of the dinner selections I remember were Sea Bass, Cooks Grilled chicken, and escargot appetizers. The show at the Mikado was a ventriloquist who was funnier working with the audience than his dummy, and a guy who balanced things on sticks in his mouth. After a quick stop at the room, we were off to check out the night life. The dueling pianos in the Cole Porter Club was a bit sedate and too many teens crowded the Jekyll & Hyde disco, so it was back to the Romeo & Juliet lounge for dancing. My son even "sat in" with the band! It was after a quick stop to the midnight buffet that we turned in.
