Jerome Murray

WordMaster... Success Magazine called Dr. Jerry Murray "...the expert on words in the United States" while Agricultural Age said he is "the most articulate communicator of human behavior on the scene today." As the only person recognized by the California Supreme Court as an expert in communication, he was a key consultant for CAROL BURNETT in her highly publicized suit against The National Enquirer. Dr. Murray is the author of The CARE Book and teaches interpersonal communication to groups and companies. As a communications consultant he both writes and analyzes the written and spoken word for meaning, clarity, persuasibility, and potency. He has been a communications consultant and speechwriter for national political figures.

He is a Contributing Editor to several Internet magazines, and is writing the text for several web sites. His book MURRAY ON MARRIAGE followed by the video LOVING ME-LOVING YOU enhanced his reputation as a relationship expert. A recurring theme in his speeches and publications is self-esteem and his latest video LOVING YOURSELF TO SUCCESS continues that emphasis. Platform Personality Plus !!!... Jerry Murray is in demand around the world as a lecturer for presentations full of substance, but liberally dosed with humor. Nido Qubein, past president of the National Speakers Association said, "You are one fantastic speaker - articulate, funny, yet most importantly, you say so much." His background and continuing involvement in the entertainment industry helps explain his dramatic and captivating style. Jerry studied voice for seven years with Nace Hill of the New York Metropolitan Opera, sang professionally on stage, hosted radio and TV shows, and recorded an album. Jerry has sung the lead role in Man of La Mancha, The Sound of Music, South Pacific, Oklahoma, and many other shows. He is a soloist with big bands, in concert, and with symphony orchestras. Many of his lectures are dramatized with song. Audiences love it!

It’s a long way from here to there... The journey to success hasn't always been easy for this Texas native. In fact it's been a long road from J.D. (juvenile delinquent) to Ph.D. Still, it's an appealing trip when you've almost been killed in a gang fight, dropped out of high school, turned down an offer to go to the Naval Academy at Annapolis, flunked out of a naval training school, and ended up scrubbing the head. The decision to make that trip moved Jerome Murray from a 18-year-old, taking stock of himself on a navy bunk, to the Honor Man of another naval training school. He then went on to a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology (Summa cum Laude) from Santa Clara University, and ultimately Valedictorian of his doctoral class earning a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. For fifteen years he headed a mental health clinic in California. Reference listings include Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in California, Who's Who in the West, and Who's Who in the World. He and his wife Sandi live in Santa Rosa, California.
