Musikmesse Frankfurt '06

We've been exhibiting at Frankfurt since 1992, and I'd have to say that 2006 was one of the liveliest, most fun Frankfurt shows ever for us, thanks largely to the music at our booth from some extremely talented performers.


One of the real bonuses in this business is when we meet people whose music we admire, and who use our products, AND they turn out to be just really nice people that we like to hang out with. This was the case this week in Frankfurt, as we were lucky to spend time with Sonia who sang and played each day at our booth. Seen here using our 2-millionth capo. Likewise, Julian Dawson who also took the solid gold, diamond-studded capo for a spin. Thanks to these talented artists, who are themselves solid gold.


	We were joined this year by Matthias Otterbein, who was a great help at the booth. His mastery of several languages smoothed things out nicely. (Matthias left, Gary Mobley right) Our 2006 booth, below.

For me, one of the real highlights of Frankfurt Musikmesse is always the time I get to spend with my dear friends, John and Linda Pearse. Traditionally John and I sequester ourselves each afternoon around five o'clock to discuss the events of the day — and practically everything else — over a glass of champagne. Although an infection in his legs forced John to be wheelchair bound during this show (a temporary situation) his spirits remained high, and I'm happy to report that our tradition was properly upheld.
