| Los Arcos is a small island group, part of a marine reserve south of Puerto Vallarta. We got to town early, even the coffee shops were still closed, and boarded our tender from shore off the Malecon. The tender took us the direction of a larger catamaran but veered of to a smaller boat. | ![]() |

Everyone was looking forward to a fun ride, similar to our Yelapa water taxi, but it seemed we were on a "handicapped" vessel. The boat putted along at a, "Small World", pace. We learned the catamaran had some sort of accident and was disabled. Amy and Amber were a little green as we approached the islands, and couldn't wait to get off the boat. |
| Once in the water we had hundreds of colorful fish surrounding us. It helped having a bagful of bread to feed them. Debbie had a hard time with the flippers so Wes towed her around. Most of the area was only 20 feet deep, and with visibility being good, it was easy to see the activity on the bottom. We got our workout that morning and no one was ready to board the boat back, especially at the pace we knew we'd endure. | ![]() |
