We stayed at Los Tules resort. Our resort was a couple miles north of Puerto Vallarta. The grounds are sprawling with plenty of greenery among the 15 buildings. We went through a little timeshare pitch before getting our keys then followed our bellman to the room. We climbed the stairs, opened the door, and looked into an obviously occupied room. A phone call later and we're back on the path to another room. The bellman handed me the key and as I was trying to open the door, a young man came to the door a ask what we were doing. More apologies came from the bellman when we finally reached our third floor room. 3rd Floor Room
First Room We were told we had a 2 room condo and were pleasantly surprised when we walked in to a large room downstairs, with kitchen area and dining table on one side, and a trundle bed on the other. Everything overlooked the pool below and the ocean beyond. The second room, just as large, had a king bed and small fridge, but was up a flight of wooden spiral stairs.
Our move-in required some muscle and finesse to get the suitcase up these stairs. Wes' foot was feeling the brunt of the stairs so we requested a move. Stairs
Second Room We were moved to a ground level room with a patio right on the beach. The main room was larger and had a newer kitchen. The beds for the kids were smaller but after we drug a mattress from the second bedroom for Andrew, everything was fine. The second bedroom was more like a hotel room, with two double beds and a bathroom and no view. (We're not normally as messy as the picture portrays. The photo was taken just as we moved in.)
Wes and Debbie would use the room but we spent most of the time on the patio. Debbie enjoying the unblocked view of the sunset and Wes enjoying the quiet, cool mornings, coffee and Gigante pastry in hand.
Andrew Fronting our Room Most of the time the ocean off the patio had a lot of stuff floating in the surf, but we did jump in during the clear times. The beach break was fun to play in, and we loved the water temperature.
