| Initially, we were a little apprehensive about boarding the city bus, especially when they didn't look too clean and the drivers didn't seem to have much concern for the riders inside or the pedestrians on the street. We knew all five us us would not be able to fit in one cab so we paid our 4.5 pesos each and jumped aboard. | ![]() |

We soon realized there really wasn't a better way to get to town. There was a bus stop just outside our resort. We never had to wait more than a couple of minutes, and for just over two dollars we could board the biggest thing on the road! At times the ride was bumpy or crowded but the bus would empty just as fast as it filled. |
| Often someone would board the bus and begin entertaining or selling something. We had a guy play his guitar during our ride and he made out well off of us. We had just arrived in Puerto Vallarta and Wes only had bills, giving the man a 20 peso note. The man in the background of this picture boarded and began selling some kind of creme with an iguana pictured on it. He must not have done too well selling the creme as we saw him a couple times later selling Chickletts. | ![]() |
